Attempting to capture lightning and put it in a bottle is a fools errand, that’s why many music documentaries and concert films are akin to watching paint dry. There are exceptions though.
Join Mr Drayton as he hosts an evening of celluloid marvels, with his customary nonsense and barely credible facts about what you’re about to experience. To gild the lily there will be an easy access quiz following the screening with many lamentable prizes.
For many the image of 1970’s Elvis is of a washed up wasted whale of a man. This film shows Elvis in fantastic form. Feisty, funny and possibly the most beautiful man who ever graced a stage. Director Baz Luhrmann has done him proud.
