Creative You is a project for young people ages 11-19 and therefore places will be allocated on this basis.
Event description
Join us over the summer holidays for three free day-long workshops with artists’ and Teenage Craft Club leaders’ Kate Hunter and Pui Lee.
Learn craft skills with an experienced craftsperson, try out a variety of art forms and meet like-minded young people in a friendly and supportive space.
The workshops will include:
Aluminium Jewellery: In this session we will be learning how to shape the metal using a range of tools and jewellery making techniques. You will be able to add in stones and beads to enhance the design. You will learn how to design a piece and take this idea from paper to construction.
Metal Embossing Notebooks: In this session we will be looking at creating 2d designs from aluminum & pewter sheet.
You will learn how to transfer your designs on to the metal, create high and low relief and add texture. You can add patina to the panel and then it will be mounted onto a notebook or sketchpad.
