Join us for an unforgettable Swing Band Dance Night, transporting you back to the golden era of jazz and swing.

The evening kicks off with a short Swing Dance Taster workshop led by Joo-Lee & Andy from Lindy Jazz – as seen on the Swing Dancers County Durham BBC Ident.

Whether you’re a seasoned swing dancer or a beginner eager to learn a few moves for the night, or simply looking forward to enjoying the music, everyone is welcome!

Our expert instructors will make sure the Swing Dance Taster is both entertaining and easy to follow, ensuring you’ll have a few moves up your sleeve to tap your feet to the music played by the fantastic Bright Street Big Band and Swing DJ Andy Lewis. So don’t miss out on the fun, come and join us on the dance floor.

 

Programme for the evening

  • 6:30pm – Event starts and Low Barn Bar opens. The Courtyard Bar will be open for drinks and meals before this
  • 7pm – Swing Dance Taster Session with Joo-Lee from Lindy Jazz
  • 7:30pm – The Bright Street Big Band perform
  • 8:15pm – The band breaks, dance performance followed by social dance to DJ Andy
  • 8:4pm – The Bright Street Big Band perform and Swing-Fit Dance-Along with Lucy
  • 9:30pm – Social dance to DJ Andy
  • 10pm – Event ends
