Event description

This free activity for 7-11 year olds takes its inspiration from this year’s bicentenary of Bowes Railway.

We’ll go back to the era of steam to imagine who or what might emerge from out of the smoke as the locomotion pulls away? What might be lurking in the dark of the coalmine, or from under a streetlamp on a foggy night?  What would you do if you were there?

The focus will be on storytelling and fun.  Together, we’ll create a short tale and then record it, making our own sound effects.

Each child will be offered a free drink and snack.
