Event description
Join Lindsay from Bench Box to make jewellery using metal clay. Learn basic techniques and skills to create your own metal clay jewellery over two sessions. (You must be available for both sessions to ensure you’ll be able to complete your jewellery).
In this workshop you’ll learn how to roll and cut copper and bronze clay, adding different design elements such as texture inspired by the autumn season. You’ll also have an introduction to sculpting to learn how to create an acorn shaped charm too. These will be dried, ready for the second session where you’ll learn how to torch fire and polish up your pieces before turning them into pieces of jewellery. You’ll be taught basic plier techniques to add these finishing touches. Expect to make between 4-6 pieces of jewellery.
This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience or those who have some and would like to try a different technique.
