Event description

Here to There is Helix Arts’ FREE programme offering creative workshops and walks for anyone 55+.

Discover the rich history and heritage of Arts Centre Washington and its surrounding greenspaces.

Engage in gelli plate printing, journaling, and discovery walks to connect with the past and present in a meaningful way.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills, explore and express ideas in creative ways which in turn can inspire a sense of connection with place and locality and in turn add value to subjective wellbeing.

Jane Young is a sculpture and installation artist based in Whorlton, Teesdale. Her work is a journey of experimentation and creativity. She utilises nature and outdoor spaces as her canvas, and her installations evolve with the surroundings, thus transforming them in unexpected and enchanting ways.
