Event description

Discover the beauty, versatility, and expressive potential of aluminium in this hands‑on jewellery‑making workshop led by artisan Kate Hunter. Lightweight, malleable, and full of creative possibilities, aluminium is the perfect material for both beginners and experienced makers looking to explore contemporary metalwork.

In this immersive session, Kate will guide you through a variety of jewellery‑making techniques—from bending and shaping wire to experimenting with surface textures, stamping, colouring, and finishing. You’ll learn how simple tools can transform raw metal into elegant forms, intricate patterns, and bold statement pieces. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the design process used by professional makers as you sketch ideas, play with form, and refine your creations.

With plenty of time for experimentation, you’ll have the opportunity to craft your own unique wearable artworks—bracelets, pendants, rings, charms, or whatever your imagination inspires. Whether you’re interested in learning a new craft, developing your creative confidence, or simply enjoying a relaxing session of hands‑on making, this workshop offers a welcoming environment for all skill levels.

Come explore the shimmer, shape, and potential of aluminium, and leave with beautiful pieces of jewellery made entirely by you!
