Event description

Are you a home-educated family with children aged 5 – 11 years old? Join OASES for a fun rainforest themed workshop at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens.

Through hands-on activities, explore the Winter Gardens to learn more about the plants and animals that call a rainforest home, then move to the Mowbray Park Community Garden to discover how different plants and animals are adapted to live here in the UK.

Mowbray Park Community Garden project has transformed an existing space into an interactive, inclusive, and fully accessible community garden, with raised beds, seating, and paving. The garden was created in partnership with the local community and funded by UK Shared Prosperity Fund via Sunderland City Council.
