Event description

This weekly group is for adults aged 50+ who are looking for creative, social activities inspired by the Museum collections and exhibitions. The sessions run from 1pm – 3pm. Work alongside artists, volunteers and Museum staff on different art and craft projects, enjoy a cuppa and a chat and find your happy place. No previous art experience is needed and there is lots of help available. 

Creative Age runs the following Wednesdays:

  • 25 June
  • 2, 9 & 16 July
  • 3, 10, 17, & 24 September
  • 1, 8, 15 & 22 October

The Creative Age group are currently working on a National Lottery Heritage Funded creative health project called Working Together, led by Group for Education in Museums (GEM) and Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance (CHWA), developing creative resource boxes for the community on the theme of Creative Coal.
